The word for reading a new book by an author new to you and discovering that the words don’t resonate, don’t land at all. Instead they simply roll by, flitting in and out without leaving an imprint in your brain. Repeatedly re-reading the same page or pages, over and over, without realizing you’ve already read and re-read them.
